About
Hi! I'm Faith, the founder of BookShook, and my love affair with books started long before I could even read. My poor Mom—how hoarse she must have felt after the third rereading of The Hungry Caterpillar in one night!
What was your favorite childhood book? Share in the comments and let's take a trip down memory lane together!
Growing up, I lived countless literary lives:
- Nancy Drew taught me that a magnifying glass is the ultimate accessory.
- Laura Ingalls showed me how to weather life's plot twists with grit.
- Anne Shirley introduced me to the power of a well-timed dramatic monologue.
Which literary heroine inspired you most as a kid? I'd love to hear your stories!
These days, you'll find me lost in the pages of Outlander or hoarding my yearly supply of Candy Cane Lane Tea. (Seriously, this stuff is more magical than a flying broomstick and a bottomless bookshop gift card combined.)
But here's the thing about being the oldest of seven bookworms: you learn quickly that self-care isn't just nice—it's necessary. While books were my escape, they sometimes added their own kind of beautiful chaos to my life.
I started creating little rituals to process the most devastating fictional deaths and heartbreaks. A memorial candle here, a consolation pastry there, slowly building what would become the foundation of BookShook. Because as readers, we don't just read stories—we live them. Every triumphant "I knew it!" moment, every late-night ugly cry session becomes part of our emotional reading resume.
Tell me about your bookish rituals! How do you celebrate the highs and console yourself through the lows of your reading journey? Bonus points for creativity (and photos)!
I can't tell you how many times I've found myself clutching a book in the wee hours, surrounded by my carefully curated comfort items, processing fictional grief with sniffles (and chocolate). That's when I realized: we deserve more than just tissues and vague sympathetic nods.
We, the fearless readers of the world, deserve luxury. We deserve validation. We deserve a community that understands why that one character death from three years ago still hurts like a fresh paper cut.
BookShook was born from this understanding—that our reading emotions deserve to be honored with beauty, celebrated with flair, and supported with care. Every box I create, every ritual I design, comes from a lifetime of knowing exactly how it feels to need a bookish hug.
I've lived through enough chapters to know precisely what our reader hearts crave when stories put them through the wringer. Whether you're reeling from an unexpected loss or swooning from a long-awaited happily-ever-after, I want to be there for you—because it takes a bona fide book nerd to understand that the struggle is real when it comes to literary feels.
This is so much more than just a business to me—it's a mission to create the safe space I always wished existed. A place where your fictional obsessions get the five-star treatment they deserve, and where every new page comes with its own survival kit.
My ultimate goal? Supporting Readers Through Every Plot Twist™ (and making sure you look fabulous doing it).
So welcome to BookShook. Kick off your shoes, crack open that well-worn favorite, and relax—your reading heart is home now. And I promise, no matter how bumpy your bookish journey gets, I'll be here with a cozy blanket, a steaming cup of tea, and an unshakeable belief that the next page is worth turning.

- Beth from Little Women
- Matthew from Anne of Green Gables
- Sydney Carton from A Tale of Two Cities (selfless much?!)
- Jamie from Outlander—though to be fair, that last death didn’t stick (thankfully).
